Why do we exist?
It started with our little brother, Leo.
Emma watched him struggle through another meltdown hands over his ears, tears streaming, the world just too much. As his older siblings, we felt helpless. We'd tried everything: weighted blankets, fidget spinners, noise-canceling headphones. Nothing gave him the instant relief he needed.
One evening, Emma had an idea: "What if we created something small he could carry everywhere? With different textures he could choose based on how he's feeling?"
We spent months researching sensory integration therapy, talking to occupational therapists, and testing prototypes with Leo. The breakthrough came when seven-year-old Leo grabbed the ridged ball during a tough day at school. Within minutes, his shoulders relaxed. He looked up and said, "This one feels like a hug for my hands."
That's when we knew we had something special.
We launched CalmTouch Sensory Balls in 2020 with a simple mission: give families like ours a tool that actually works. Today, over 10,000 families use our sensory balls to help their children self-regulate and find calm in an overwhelming world.
Leo is twelve now and still carries his favorite ball everywhere. Every family that tells us their child finally has a tool that helps, that's Leo's story repeated thousands of times over.
